How to Change Your MT5 Account Password

Your MT5 account login info gets sent to your email and can also be found in your Messages Dashboard once you log into your AstroPips account. So if you ever want to switch up your password, here’s how you do it, quick and easy!

Method 1: Change Password via CRM

Log in to your AstroPips account.
Go to Account and click on your MT5 account.
Hit the Change button under the password section.
Type in your new password and save it.

Pro tip: You can also choose to change your Investor Password here, which is basically a read-only password to share your account without letting anyone trade for you.

Method 2: Change Password via MT5 Terminal

You can also update your password straight from the MT5 platform:

Open your MT5 Terminal.
Go to Tools > Options > Server tab.
Click Change next to the password field.
Enter your current master password.
If you want, check the box to Change investor (read-only) password.
Enter your new password and confirm.

Or alternatively:

In the Navigator panel (CTRL+N), right-click your account.
Select Change Password.
Follow the same steps as above.

Why bother with the Investor Password?

It’s a way to share your trading activity without giving full control.
